Patrick McGrath Muñiz

was born in New York in January, 31st, 1975. At an early age his family moved to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico where he received his primary and high school education. In 1993, Patrick enrolled in the School of Fine Arts of San Juan, Puerto Rico. There he studied Graphic Design and Painting. He also took private painting and drawing lessons under the supervision of Fran Cervoni. In 1996 traveled to Europe where he visited museums, learned and studied old masterpieces.

Back in Puerto Rico he opened an art school and Studio in Aguadilla and later in Aguada. During this period made several trips to the Caribbean, South and Central America. In 2003 completed his studies in the School of Fine Arts of San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine arts (Magna Cum Laude), majoring in painting. He then exhibited in the "Muestra Nacional" of Instituto de Cultura of Puerto Rico. In 2004, enrolled in the Savannah Collage of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. In 2006 obtained a master's degree in fine arts with a major in Painting (Summa Cum Laude).

In Savannah, Patrick exhibited his thesis show, "Iconsumer", which, in 2007, took place in the Museo de las Americas in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Later that year he showed "Iconsumer Media" in El Convento Las Capuchinas, Antigua, Guatemala. This show was awarded Best Show of the Year 2007 in Puerto Rico by the AICA (International Association of Art Critics). In 2008 he earned the Francisco de Goya award in Barcelona, Spain. Patrick currently shows his work both national and internationally, while living and working in central Florida.
