For those students who wish to hone their craft outside the classroom, the Arts Center offers open studios in most media. For more information about these open studios, please call 727.822.7872 or e-mail The Arts Center.
Figure Drawing
Open Figure Drawing Studio is open to ANY artist or student who has some minimal experience with drawing (Levels 2 - 5). No pre-registration is required. A model is provided. Students should bring their own materials.
Schedule of models and more information
Fee per session: $5 members, $6 nonmembers
Saturdays, 9:30 am to noon
Clay
Open Clay Studio is available within sessions to current ceramics students only during the following hours:
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, noon to 4pm
** Please note: from June - August, the open clay studio is only available on Saturdays, noon to 4pm.
Students must purchase a Punch Card, which is priced based on the number of visits you choose: 5 Visits: $25 / 12 Visits: $50 / 1-Day Pass: $10
Once you purchase your Punch Card, you will be given information on Rules and Guidelines for using the studio and the card.
Photography Darkroom
Open Photography Darkroom is available to all members on a continuous basis during the following hours:
September - May
Monday - Thursday & Saturday, 9:30am to 8:30pm
Friday - Saturday, 9:30am to 4pm
June - August
Thursday, 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Saturday, 9:30am to 4pm
Open Photography Studio is not available when there are classes scheduled in the darkroom. Please call for availability. Members and Students must purchase a Punch Card, which is priced based on the number of visits you choose: 5 Visits: $50 / 12 Visits: $100 / 1-Day Pass: $20
Once you purchase your Punch Card, you will be given information on Rules and Guidelines for using the darkroom and the card.
Jewelry
Open Jewelry Studio is available within sessions only to current metals students and Arts Center members who are capable of operating all studio equipment during the following hours:
Wednesday, 11am to 4pm
Saturday, 10am to 5pm
** Please note: from June - August, the open jewelry studio is only available on Saturdays, 11am to 4pm.
Students and members must purchase a Punch Card, which is priced based on the number of visits you choose:
Students — 5 Visits: $25 / 12 Visits: $50 / 1-Day Pass: $10
Members — 5 Visits: $50 / 12 Visits: $100 / 1-Day Pass: $20

Printmaking
Open Printmaking Studio is available within sessions to current printmaking students during the following hours:
Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Space is limited to 8
Students must purchase a Punch Card, which is priced based on the number of visits you choose:
5 Visits: $25 / 12 Visits: $50 / 1-Day Pass: $10
Painting
Open Painting Studio is available to students and current Arts Center members during the following hours:
Wednesday: 9:30am to 1pm
** Please note: from June - August, the open painting studio is closed.

Notes on Open Studios
Open studios are held only during session dates, unless otherwise noted by studio monitors. The Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any open studio due to monitor absence or other necessary circumstance. Open studio monitors are volunteers and we are very grateful for their assistance. If you would like to become an open studio monitor, please e-mail The Arts Center or call 727-822-7872.
