Acrylics — Get it Right from the Start

Kerry Didday

Monday, 10am to 12pm

Levels 1-5

Expand your experience as a painter and become a better artist! Every two weeks you will receive a directed lesson that provides you with the opportunity to express your creativity. The projects are easy and fun. Completely explore the world of acrylics and its endless possibilities. Learn about substrates, gels, compatible mediums, color theory, composition and different techniques. We will work on full sheets of watercolor paper or stretched canvas. Each week there will be an ongoing full class critique of the paintings as they progress. Be prepared for discovery through experimentation. If your goal is to become a better artist, I encourage you to sign up for the entire series, September through December, and receive the full impact of the class. Class meets four times per month.

Advanced Watermedia

Judi Dazzio

Tuesday, 9:30am to 4pm

Levels 3-5

Course code 906

This class will be trying new techniques and experimenting with new materials all summer. This has became a wonderful tradition for this class, and everyone has so much fun. You may find out that you are an Abstract painter or an Expressionist. You may find out that you love a media that you never though that you would like. This is the purpose of the summer. We try new things in new ways and have a lot of fun doing it. There is no pressure to produce great paintings, just to play and see what happens. This is one of the reasons so many creative, successful artists have come out of this program.

All classes taught by Judi Dazzio require a pre-registration interview.
Tuition: $130 members, $160 nonmembers

Acrylic Painting

Judi Dazzio

Friday, 9:30am to 4pm

2nd and 4th Fridays only!

Students of all levels

Course code 911

This class meets on alternating Fridays, the second and fourth Friday of the month. Acrylic class is always like a workshop, so that no matter when you enter, you will begin working on the latest assignment. It is beneficial to have some knowledge of acrylic painting before joining the class. It is also important that you are willing to try new things. This class may study color theory one month and experiment with a new technique the next. It is always done in a fun atmosphere and each artist maintains a positive attitude. You will, over time, find your own style because you will have been introduced to so many varying ways to work. This is an exciting class.
