Want to learn how to perfect your pottery and prepare your pieces for firing? Work one-on-one with artist Don Williams and learn the skills of working with a variety of clay. This course focuses on refining your throwing techniques to achieve taller forms with less effort. Students will also learn artistic decorating techniques through a variety of demonstrations in wax resist, sprigging, sculpting, roulette wheels and glaze over glaze application.

This class is designed for students who possess basic throwing skills (centering, pulling up walls and shaping) who wish to enhance and expand their throwing techniques and technical knowledge about clay, glazes and firing. Students will learn techniques such as dry-throwing and shaping, making inverted and altered forms as well as lids, spouts and handles. A variety of decorative techniques will also be demonstrated. Clay Designing: Sculpt and Build
